Welcome to the start of the 2010-2011 Mustang Hockey Year. It is time to start preparing for the upcoming season. Quite honestly the booster club and I have been working since the end of the CHSAA season, during the High Plains seasons to both grow the program and improve our on ice performance. For those of you new to Mustang Hockey we compete at the Varsity, Jr Varsity, High Plains spring, and Summer club leagues. All of these teams are integral in both growing Mustang Hockey and ensuring those who want to participate in High School Hockey have the opportunity. If you have any questions on the difference between the two please do not hesitate to contact myself or Vanda Dyson, our board president. We want everybody to participate.

Our Jr. Varsity team will be comprised of freshmen and sophomores that are not ready for the Varsity team. This team will play a “club” schedule at the Midget Minor A level in the CDYHL. There will be drop in hockey over the summer and those sessions are on our website calendar. More information on all of these programs is or will be made available as soon as possible.

As we strive to expand our program and gain respectability the responsibilities increase for all of us. The boys have to start now and work on becoming better students, athletes and human beings. It is my responsibility to ensure the boys have the proper tools, discipline and focus to become the best team that they can. Unfortunately that is not going to be enough, we are a booster run program; we need all the parent and supporter volunteer help we can get. Be it managing one of our teams or working the penalty box; we can not do with out you. If we all work together and step up and meet our responsibilities’ we will achieve respectability on the ice.
